Located in the picturesque Fairy Mountain area of Wulong, Chongqing, the 1003 Polo Club is China's newest polo club, blending natural beauty with progressive sporting spirit.

This modern club encompasses a full-sized grass polo field, multiple training arenas, stabling facilities housing approximately 100 Argentine-imported horses, and a generously sized indoor arena to facilitate year-round practice. The club's contemporary clubhouse combines sleek architecture with comfort, offering elegant social spaces, dining facilities, and viewing terraces overlooking the lush fields.

Dedicated to broadening the sport’s appeal, the club organises frequent youth training camps, the annual Rose Polo Cup (an international women’s tournament), and various polo outreach events. Regular polo participation at 1003 Polo Club requires membership or special guest invitations, welcoming a diverse community committed to the growth of polo in China.

Tianjin Metropolitan Polo Club (Tianjin)

The Tianjin Goldin Metropolitan Polo Club is a prestigious establishment in northern China, situated in the metropolitan city of Tianjin, known for its rich blend of history and contemporary culture.

Its extensive polo facilities include two international-standard polo fields, stabling for over 200 horses, a comprehensive indoor arena, and an expansive enclosed hitting cage, ensuring top-class training year-round. Although its accompanying luxury hotel has ceased operations, the dedicated clubhouse still serves polo players, providing sophisticated lounges, changing facilities, and spectator areas overlooking the immaculate fields.

Despite recent operational shifts, the club maintains its status as a centrepiece of Chinese polo. 

Nine Dragons Hill Polo Club (Shanghai)

Set within the coastal resort district of Pinghu near Shanghai, the Nine Dragons Hill Polo Club is renowned as China’s first private modern polo establishment, offering a refined sporting experience.

The club boasts two immaculate international-standard grass polo fields, an integrated turf horse-racing track (a unique feature in China), and over 300 horse stalls accommodating both member-owned and club-owned horses. Additional equestrian amenities include dedicated outdoor riding arenas and veterinary facilities. The exclusive clubhouse is designed for both social enjoyment and match viewing, providing sophisticated lounges, premium dining, and leisure amenities for members and guests.

Tang Polo Club (Beijing)

Originally founded in Beijing, the distinguished Tang Polo Club now resides in Anping, Hebei, offering polo enthusiasts an elegant countryside retreat from urban China’s fast pace.

Facilities include two international-sized grass polo fields, expansive stabling for over 100 horses (with expansion plans), and an indoor arena enabling practice throughout the year. The club’s premium clubhouse provides refined comforts, including private lounges, a boutique hotel, swimming pool, dining venues, and spectator areas that overlook the meticulously maintained polo fields.

Tang Polo Club actively hosts prominent international events like the Royal Salute China Open and the Cartier International Polo Challenge. In addition, it serves as a training centre for China’s national polo team and offers comprehensive coaching for all skill levels. Access to the club’s facilities and events is highly selective, primarily through membership or exclusive invitations.

Beijing Sunny Times Polo Club (Beijing)

Nestled in the rural outskirts of Beijing, Sunny Times Polo Club is recognised as one of China’s earliest contemporary polo facilities, noted for its authentic and relaxed polo experience.

The club features a well-maintained full-size grass polo field, multiple training spaces, and a stable block accommodating a carefully managed herd of horses. A rustic yet comfortable clubhouse overlooks the fields, fostering a welcoming atmosphere perfect for socialising, casual gatherings, and viewing matches.

Sunny Times Polo Club emphasises community engagement, youth development, and the promotion of polo in China. Regularly organising domestic tournaments and training clinics, the club offers a more approachable entry into the sport compared to larger establishments. Participation typically requires membership, though the club frequently organises public events to attract and educate newcomers.

Genghis Khan Polo Club (Inner Mongolia)

Though located outside China's Inner Mongolia region, the Genghis Khan Polo Club in Mongolia’s scenic Orkhon Valley is celebrated for reviving traditional polo amidst historic grasslands steeped in equestrian heritage.

Unlike conventional clubs, polo here unfolds on vast natural steppes rather than manicured fields, capturing a raw, adventurous spirit.
